Elk Lake is a beautiful lake near Red Rock Lakes Nat'l Wildlife Refuge. It's a 20 mile drive west along Red Rock Road from RedRock RV Park. The road is a good maintained dirt road but be careful after spring rains, esp. on Elk Lake Road. Some spots may be impassable.

Westslope and Yellowstone Cutthroat in the 3 to 5 pound range can be caught by the patient angler here. CATCH AND RELEASE for lake trout. The lake is 4 miles by .5 miles wide. There are a couple boat launches.
