Elk Lake is a beautiful lake near Red Rock Lakes Nat'l Wildlife Refuge with a rustic lodge adjacent to the lake. It's a 20 mile drive west along Red Rock Road from RedRock RV Park. The road is a maintained dirt road but be careful after spring rains. Some spots may be impassable.

Westslope and Yellowstone Cutthroat in the 3 to 5 pound range can be caught by the patient angler here. (CATCH AND RELEASE FOR lake trout ). The lake is 4 miles by .5 miles wide.
